Rights Respecting School

Join us on our Rights Respecting School journey!

We are actively working towards recognition as a Rights Respecting School. This is an award which is given to schools on behalf of UNICEF.

Because of all the work we have put in so far, we have already achieved our SILVER Award and are hoping to achieve our GOLD award by the end of this academic session.

By exploring the ‘Rights Respecting School’ award (RRSA) we hope to help our pupils to grow into confident, caring and responsible young citizens both in school and within the wider community.

Through learning about what their rights are, and joining various Pupil Voice groups, your children will also learn how to respect those rights.

Our pupils are encouraged to reflect on how their behaviour and actions affect those around them which allows us to build and maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all, both in the classroom and around the school.

We have been doing this in class, in assemblies and through focus weeks such as Anti-Bullying Week.
